Port and city or port vs. city? Interdependence that can drive development or barriers that inhibit the development of both.

Seaports are not only points of contact between different modes of transport, places that generate large revenues for the state budget, but also important elements of the fabric of coexistence with cities.

The panel will focus on the challenges and opportunities associated with the harmonious coexistence of the city and the port. An important thread will be the integration of port spaces with the urban environment, enabling better use of the potential of coastal locations for the benefit of both residents and the economy.

He has been active in the TSL sector since 1997, including on managerial and executive positions since 2004. He gained experience at C. Hartwig Gdynia S.A., PEKAES Multi-Spedytor Sp. z o.o., VOS Logistics Polska Sp. z o. o; Apreo Logistics Sp. z o.o.

He served on the boards of directors of Deutsche Binnenreederei AG (Berlin), Odra Rhein Lloyd GmbH (Berlin); Rentrans Cargo Sp. z o.o.; OT Logistics S.A., Bałtycki Terminal Zbożowy Sp. z o.o.

He was a member of supervisory boards at C. Hartwig Gdynia S.A., Bałtycki Terminal Drobnicowy Gdynia Sp. z o.o., Port Handlowy Świnoujście Sp. z o.o.

Previously involved in the Polish-Turkish Chamber of Commerce. He was also a member of the Council for the Promotion of Inland Navigation at the Ministry of Transport. Currently – a member of the Polish-Turkish Business Council, and – on behalf of the Lewiatan Confederation – a member of the Tripartite Team for Conducting Social Dialogue in the Sea Ports Sector at the Ministry of Infrastructure.
