Participant, speaker and moderator at numerous editions of the International Economic Forum in Gdynia, discussing maritime economy and maritime industries, and also events connected with shipbuilding industry, including Maritime Congresses organised in Szczecin. He also represented Polish shipbuilding industry domestically in the Tripartite Team concerning Shipbuilding Industry as the Team’s Deputy Leader, and also in Europe by being a member of the Director Committee of SEA Europe and of CESA’s Council. At the same time, Mr Czuczman took part in the works conducted by a working group of WP6 dealing with matters of shipbuilding industry of OECD organisation (Organisation de Coopération et de Développement Economiques) in Paris, representing Poland.
Years-long Director of the Polish shipbuilding association FORUM OKRĘTOWE, he even served as the President of this organisation for some time. For many years, he’s been the President of the Association of Polish Naval Architects and Marine Engineers KORAB.
This year’s Maritime Industries panel will be entirely devoted to the potential of Polish-French cooperation in shipbuilding services. In the last two decades, the Polish shipbuilding industry has generally assumed extensive cooperation with North and West European countries – mostly Norway and Germany or Finland, Denmark and Netherland. Regardless of the scale of success of these cooperation endeavors, the key to developing the shipbuilding industry in Poland will be to find an alternative direction for cooperation in the upcoming years. In the opinion of a part of the Polish environment, France has the potential to guarantee further development to Polish companies, as well as their safety, by guaranteeing
Apart from GICAN representatives and the French shipbuilding industry, Mr. Christophe Tytgat, Secretary General of the Shipyard's and Maritime Equipment Association (SEA Europe) as well as representatives of the most important Polish shipyards: Remontowa Shipbuilding, CRIST and PGZ Stocznia Wojenna were invited to the panel.
We believe that this year’s Maritime Industries panel will serve as an important impulse for the further development of the Polish and French shipbuilding industry partnership.
